Digital Skills Gap in Msmes
MSME owners lack essential digital skills
The lack of digital skills among MSME owners primarily stems from limited access to technology infrastructure and a deficiency in digital literacy education. Economic constraints, coupled with insufficient institutional support, further exacerbate the situation. Many MSME owners are also resistant to change due to entrenched traditional business practices, which hinders the adoption of new technological solutions.
The Government of India has launched several initiatives like the Digital India program and the Skill India Mission to boost digital literacy. However, these schemes face challenges such as inadequate reach in rural areas and insufficient tailored resources for MSME-specific needs, limiting their effectiveness.

Potential risks include resistance to technology adoption and inadequate feedback loops. Strengthening [ INTV 4 ] with more user-friendly interfaces and integrating with [ INTV 5 ] for enhanced AI tracking can mitigate these risks. Additionally, incorporating [ INTV 3 ] for ongoing audits and fraud detection ensures program integrity and adaptation.
